Four years after her departure from "American Idol," singer and Broadway and film star Jennifer Hudson is to release her debut album, "Jennifer Hudson," in September. The first single, "Spotlight," was produced by Ne-Yo. It is expected to be sent to radio June 9 and be available on iTunes the following day. Hudson, who won an Academy Award last year for supporting actress for her turn in "Dreamgirls," is in the big-screen version of "Sex and the City," which arrives in theaters May 30.
